Having begun construction of the HP/V (human powered vessel) Global Challenger in Port Townsend, Wa., volunteer pilot Jamie Daniel is making every effort to bring awareness of the project, expedition and website to as many people as possible. Having expended much effort in coordinating the donation of materials, labor, services and construction site over the past few months, Jamie is off to take a much needed rest by riding his bike from the construction site in Port Townsend to the launch site in Eureka, Ca. Along the way he hopes to bring awareness of the Global Challenger Association's mission of advancing human achievement, knowledge and understanding. He feels the effort will give him a better frame of reference for the long journey ahead and said Jamie, "It couldn't hurt our exposure..."
